Plant Q & A
| We understand that there are several questions that employees have as operations are winding down at the Mansfield Stamping Plant. Below you will find some answers to commonly asked questions. |
| |
Q1 I have a Para(96) transfer opportunity waiting for me at another plant. If I get laid off before my report date will those weeks count against my maximum number of weeks of SUB REGULAR BENEFITS?
A1 No. If an employee who has a Paragraph 96 transfer opportunity reserved for them becomes laid off, they will be considered on temporary layoff. Therefore weeks where an employee is laid off between the time the layoff begins and the report date to the receiving facility will not be counted against the maximum number of weeks of SUB Regular Benefits.
Employees that are placed on layoff and do not have a paragraph 96 move transfer opportunity reserved for them, will be considered on indefinite layoff. These employees will be subject to the provisions of the 2007 UAW-GM Supplemental Agreement covering the Supplemental Unemployment Benefit Plan. These weeks will count against the employees maximum number of weeks of eligibility. |
